Church's Chicken brings back seafood offerings for Lent

Just in time for the Lenten season, Church's Chicken has brought back its seafood offerings. According to a news release, the brand's seafood menu includes two fish fillets or an order of zesty shrimp, each baked and served with fries and a honey-drizzled biscuit.

The seafood meals are available at participating restaurants with prices starting at $3.49. Guests can add a small drink or a small order of coleslaw for $1. Church's seafood menu is available through April 27.

Church's has also launched a new ad created by the brand's new agency, Made. The spot was filmed at a restaurant in Atlanta and features seagulls that are the only trained aquatic birds in Georgia, the release said.

The ad shows the birds hovering over Church's just as they would when they circle around a fishing trawler hauling in a fresh catch. The ad cuts to Church's guests enjoying their seafood meals when they notice the seagulls are gathering around looking to break through the window.

"During the Lenten season, many of our guests rely on Church's to provide alternative choices to our world famous chicken," Church's Chief Concept Officer Steve Davis said in the release. "Our food continues to be the hero in all our ads, including our limited time only seafood offers. Our new agency was able to infuse some fun into the ads while still keeping the focus on Church's great tasting food and value."

Following this promotion, Church's will launch a new brand campaign that will debut in April.
