P&G Professional, the away-from-home division of Procter & Gamble, was recently awarded "Vendor of the Year" by El Pollo Loco for its Cleaning and Food Safety Program.
P&G Professional was chosen from more than 100 supplier partners for its program, which contributed to a 12.9 point improvement in El Pollo Loco's cleanliness score in a recent survey.
"Our relationship with P&G Professional is so much deeper than just buying products," said Steve Sather, CEO and president, El Pollo Loco. "They are responsive, provide personalized training and have truly partnered with us to move El Pollo Loco toward a 'best in class' guest service experience."
El Pollo Loco first partnered with P&G Professional in January 2011 after a thorough test including input from the chain's franchisee community. El Pollo Loco currently employs the P&G Cleaning and Food Safety Program in all restaurant locations. P&G Professional's Cleaning and Food Safety Program utilizes brands such as Mr. Clean, Dawn, Comet and Spic and Span.
