Nov. 15, 2012

Just one day after announcing a multiunit agreement in the Wisconsin market, Dunkin' Donuts has also signed a multiunit development agreement for 10 new units in the Grand Rapids, Mich., area. The agreement is with existing franchise group Sack of Donuts LLC and the first restaurant is planned to open in 2013, with the remainder open by 2018.

During July 2012, Sack of Donuts LLC, led by brothers Mike and Andy Knapick, signed its first multiunit store development for eight new restaurants between Kalamazoo, Mich., and South Bend, Ind. The first of these stores opened in Kalamazoo earlier this fall with the first two South Bend stores planned to open in late November and early 2013.

"We are excited to expand Dunkin' Donuts' presence in Grand Rapids and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," said Mike Knapick. "We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the years to come."

Franchise opportunities are still available in Michigan including in Oceana, Newaygo and Montcalm counties. Additional development areas available in Michigan include Traverse City, Flint and Alpena as well as areas in Lansing and Detroit.
