April 27, 2012

Earlier this week, Hardee's taunted its Facebook fans with a photo and message that said: "We've heard your requests. Tomorrow, they will be answered."

On Thursday, the brand officially introduced its natural cut fries smothered in melted cheddar cheese and crispy, crumbled bacon.

Hardee's is offering fans a free drink coupon if they try the new fries at lunchtime.

It's been a busy week for piling on french fry toppings in the QSR segment. Wendy's also just announced its new chili cheese fries as a permanent addition to its menu.

Meanwhile, at Hardee's sister chain Carl's Jr., a new bacon Swiss crispy hand breaded chicken tender sandwich is being promoted.

The sandwich features two chicken tenders, two bacon strips, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing. It is also available with honey mustard.

Customers can download a coupon for a sandwich combo on the brand's Facebook page.

CKE Restaurants is the parent company of Carl's Jr. and Hardee's.
