Jersey Mike's "Day of Giving" is set for Wednesday, with the company donating 100 percent of sales from the event to more than 100 local charities. According to a news release, this year's charity recipients include hospitals, food banks, youth organizations and more.
The goal of Jersey Mike's 4th Annual Month of Giving fundraising campaign is to surpass the $1.7 million raised last year, which went to 86 different charities nationwide.
Throughout March, customers have been invited to make a donation to a location's designated charity partner. Also, on March 17, Jersey Mike's began running a new commercial as part of its new A Sub Above branding campaign, inviting the public in to any of its locations nationwide to celebrate the "Day of Giving."
"I would like to extend a personal invitation to come in and enjoy a Jersey Mike's sub on March 26, our Day of Giving, when 100 percent of sales go to amazing charities throughout the country," CEO Peter Cancro said in the release. "This year we hope to raise more than $2 million to support these local causes so we can bring hope to all those involved with the charities and make a difference in people's lives."
