KFC eliminates undisclosed number of corporate jobs

Louisville, Ky.-based KFC Corp. has cut an undisclosed number of positions due to reorganization efforts. According to Louisville Business First, the Yum! Brands subsidiary declined to provide information on what positions were eliminated.

Karen Sherman, the chain's senior director of PR, emailed the following statement to the publication:

"We made the difficult but necessary decision to reorganize KFC to maximize efficiencies and better reflect our current business needs. While we have increased investment in some functions, we also have eliminated other positions at our corporate offices and in the field. We are fully committed to dramatically improving our business performance and our guests' experience. We are doing everything possible to help support those affected by the reorganization in their transition."
