MaggieMoo’s ice cream pizza gets a nod for creativity

MaggieMoo’s, a Global Franchise Group LLC brand, earned a first place award in the Creative and Innovative Products category during the 2010 World Dairy Expo Championship Product Contest.

The brand was recognized for its Maggie Mia’s Ice Cream Pizza. The item resembles a supreme pizza with a combination of Udderly Cream ice cream, red icing, white chocolate curls, M&Ms, cherry disks, crushed Heath Bar and crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Other MaggieMoo’s ice cream pizza flavors include chocolate lover’s and cheese. The ice cream pizza concept was originally introduced by the brand in March.

The award is the first major accolade given to a product developed in MaggieMoo’s Innovation Center, located in Atlanta, which first opened in May 2009.

In addition to MaggieMoo’s, Global Franchise Group includes Great American Cookies, Marble Slab Creamery, Pretzelmaker and Pretzel Time.

The World Dairy Expo is held every fall in Madison, Wisc. More than 750 companies from 24 countries compete at the event.
