Master franchisee of KFC Pakistan sells business

Cupola Group, a master franchisee of KFC Pakistan based out of Dubai, has sold its business to Delicious Holdings of United Arab Emirates. Cupola Group was the master franchisee of the brand for more than a decade.

According to Pakistan Today, the transaction is valued to be about $20 million. As part of the transition, Nigel Belton has been appointed as CEO of the KFC business. The story reported that Belton, based in UAE, is the chief development officer at Yum! Restaurants International.

KFC first entered the Pakistani market in 1997. Cupola bought the master franchise rights in 2001.
