If you find yourself Down Under, hungry and packing an Android mobile device, McDonald's may have just what you need. The fast food chain, known as "Macca's" in Australia, is trying out a mobile ordering app at some locations in Sydney, Wollongong and Western Australia.
According to the app description in the Google Play store, the "my macca's" mobile ordering gap lets diners order from a smartphone, then check in at their preferred site and pick up the order in-store or at the drive-thru.
The app includes the restaurant's menu and promotional offers, and lets users create accounts to store their favorites. Users need to enter their credit card information into the app, with McDonald's promising the card details are securely stored with its financial provider.
