McDonald's, Visa team up for mobile payment test in Singapore

Feb. 18, 2014

McDonald's McDelivery service in Singapore is now accepting Visa payments through its mobile app. According to a story in Digital Market Asia, McDelivery's mobile payment process is the first in the Southeast Asia region.

Customers need to create a user account on the app and register their Visa cards to use the platform. They can then place orders that are paid for via one click through their pre-registered Visa account. Payments are secured by Visa's CyberSource gateway.

Yvonne Low, senior marketing director, McDonald's Singapore, told the publication:

"We are always looking at ways to innovate and to improve the customer experience. This new payment option provides an added level of convenience for our McDelivery app users, and we think they will enjoy the smoother ordering process, enhanced interface and greater payment flexibility."
