March 15, 2012

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a division of AFC Enterprises Inc., invites guests to help celebrate its 40th anniversary with a special deal of eight pieces of its Bonafide bone-in fried chicken – spicy or mild – for $5.99 on March 21 only.

Popeyes Bonafide bone-in fried chicken is marinated for 12 hours in Louisiana herbs and spices, hand battered and breaded in a crispy coating and then fried fresh.

As Popeyes celebrates its 40th anniversary, it is commemorating the flavorful food distinctive to Louisiana that started the brand in 1972.

"Popeyes guests show us repeatedly the love they have for our famous fried chicken -- a love affair that has lasted for forty years," said Hector Munoz, vice president, marketing. "Our Louisiana distinctiveness is the inspiration for menu innovation and the Bonafide) recipe that started over four decades ago. To show our passion for the brand, and return the love of our fans, Popeyes is bringing guests the best deal of the year -- where flavor fuses with celebration."

The one-day offer is available at participating restaurants. Popeyes includes 2,035 restaurants in 25 countries.
