Pretzelmaker plans fundraiser for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

April 1, 2014

Pretzelmaker has set a goal to give away 65,000 free pretzels on National Pretzel Day, April 26, while raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

For the campaign, customers are invited to visit their local Pretzelmaker to receive a free soft pretzel (standard salted or unsalted) on April 26. They will then be encouraged to make an in-kind donation of any amount to the organization, according to a news release.

If the company achieves its goal and breaks its free pretzel record, it will make a corporate contribution to LLS. Customers can also make donations online by visiting http://pages.lightthenight.org/2014/globalfranchisegroup.

"National Pretzel Day is our biggest and most exciting day of the year," VP David Smith said in the release. "Because of the excitement and exposure surrounding our annual pretzel giveaway, we decided to introduce customers to our charity of choice, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We hope our customers enjoy their free pretzel and consider making a donation to the organization that brightens the lives of cancer patients and their families."
