Sonic Drive-In has introduced new limited-time breakfast offerings: the Salsa Verde Breakfast Burrito and the Salsa Verde Breakfast Toaster sandwich. Made with salsa verde and real avocado, these offerings are available any time of day.
"We are constantly working to create new and innovative offerings for our breakfast menu using ingredients not typically found at quick service restaurants," Chef Claes Petersson, vice president of product innovation of Sonic, said in a news release. "The combination of zesty salsa verde and rich, real avocado brings an added layer of depth and dimension to our breakfast burritos and toasters. When you add crispy bacon and fluffy eggs, you've got a complete breakfast in a neat package that's convenient for those on the go."
The Salsa Verde Breakfast Toaster is made with bacon, salsa verde, eggs, onions and melted American cheese, sandwiched between two slices of Texas Toast. The Salsa Verde Breakfast Burrito is comprised of the same ingredients, as well as melted cheddar cheese and Sonic Drive-In's signature Tots, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Both the toaster and the burrito are finished off with Wholly Avocado — all-natural, 100 percent Hass avocado from the makers of the Wholly Guacamole brand, America's number one selling guacamole.
The Salsa Verde Breakfast Burrito and Breakfast Toaster are available for a limited time only. Through February, they can be paired with a 99-cent large drink before 10 a.m.
Sonic's newly launched "Your Morning Drink Stop!" campaign includes large sodas, teas and slushes for 99 cents.
"With over 1 million unique beverage choices available, Your Morning Drink Stop provides customers with unrivaled refreshment offerings at just the right price," said James O'Reilly, chief marketing officer. "This promotion exemplifies the brand's continued focus on giving consumers perfectly portable morning and breakfast selections to start their day right."
