Subway teams up with Muppets for new campaign

Subway has added the Muppets to its roster of "Famous Fans" with a new "Muppisode" that debuted exclusively online Feb. 14.

The video is featured on Subway's YouTube channel and features Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog ordering a sandwich from the Swedish Chef, as well as a cameo appearance from Jared Fogle.

At the end of the video, Kermit promotes Disney's "Muppets Most Wanted" movie, set to hit theaters on March 21.

According to a news release, the video is the first in a series that will help "promote healthier options to children and families, with a specific focus on increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables everyone eats under the slogan, 'playtime powered by veggies.'"

The campaign follows Subway's announcement in January that it has partnered with First Lady Michelle Obama and the PHA to promote healthier kids' meals.
