Tim Hortons adds executives to Canadian, U.S. systems

Tim Hortons Inc. has appointed Steve Wuthmann as executive vice president, Human Resources, and as a member of the executive group, effective Sept. 30.

Wuthmann was most recently EVP, Supply Chain, for Parmalat Canada and prior to that, SVP, Human Resources. He brings more than two decades of human resources and operations experience to Tim Hortons, including with Purolator Courier, Labatt Breweries of Canada and Canada Packers.

"Steve is an accomplished executive with substantial human resources and operational experience. We are looking forward to benefiting from his strategic insights and strong leadership and we are pleased we will be able to leverage his depth of knowledge and experience for this important role," said Marc Caira, president and CEO, Tim Hortons.

Wuthmann will be responsible for directing all human resource functions of the organization, including driving organizational engagement, capability, alignment and performance.

Additionally, Tim Hortons U.S.A. has recently named Larry Mench to the position of vice president of U.S. Operations.

Mench brings more than 30 years of restaurant industry experience in the quick-serve and fast casual categories, including with Five Guys Enterprises, Zeppe's and RTM Restaurant Group (the largest Arby's franchisee). He has also served as a business consultant with McDonald's.
