When it comes to exploring non-traditional locations, Tim Hortons has flown to new heights. This week, the chain unveiled its first "fly-in" franchise in Oxford House, a First Nations community located in northern Manitoba, Canada. The community includes less than 3,000 residents and is not accessible by road, according to CTVNews.
Tim Hortons made its debut in Northern Canada in Iqaluit in 2010, but this is the first located in a fly-in-only town. The restaurant will be supplied through regular flights from Winnipeg. Prices will be comparable to the rest of the Tim Hortons system.

"We try to bring the best to the north that we can find in the south, and we listened to what the community's needs are. And in this case, Tim Hortons was identified," said Edward Kennedy, CEO of The Northwest Company, which built the new shopping center hosting the Tim Hortons.
Additionally, Tim Hortons unveiled its Tassimo T Disc home coffee line this week, which includes classic, decaffeinated and latte. According to FoodBeat.com, T Discs cost about $8.99 per 14-pack.
The company first discussed the T Disc line during its Q2 earnings call. The single-serve coffee market is currently experiencing triple-digit growth in North America.
