Wisconsin owner receives Culver's top honor

Susan Bulgrin, owner of a Culver's restaurant in Madison, Wis., has received the company's 2014 GM Culver Award. According to a news release, the award, named after Culver's late co-founder George Culver, is the highest honor in the organization which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated leadership and success.

"Susan is very deserving of this honor," said co-founder and CEO Craig Culver, who presented the award at the company's convention in Milwaukee last week. "She relentlessly strives for excellence as well as helping, encouraging and finding the strengths in others. She is passionate about her restaurant and strongly committed to the Madison community."

Bulgrin has been with Culver's since 1996. She has three daughters including one going through training to be a Culver's franchise partner.
