The Culver's restaurant in Darboy, Wis., is the winner of the 2013 Culver's Crew Challenge. According to a news release, the challenge was designed to "reward teamwork driven by great leadership and exceptional performance for Culver's guests."
This was the inaugural year of the chain's national competition with $50,000 to be shared among the restaurants' team members. The award was presented to franchise partner Glenda Woosley and members of her team at Culver's national convention last week in Milwaukee.
In this competition among 472 restaurants, performances were evaluated in the areas of quality, service, cleanliness, hospitality, community outreach and training and development.
"This is a competition to strive for excellence in the things we do quite well every day and Glenda and her team are masters of it," said Craig Culver, co-founder and CEO. "The best part about this is that our guests benefit because they ultimately are getting the best Culver's experience."
Three runner-up teams from Corydon, Ind.; Darien, Ill.; and Mitchell, S.D., received $10,000 each in prize money.
