The company updated one of its few corporate stores, and a few franchisees updated their stores as well. Sales have increased at all stores that have undergone the improvements.
Improvements to the Fort Worth, Texas, Grandy’s interior included adding bright colors with earth tones throughout the restaurant in addition to brand marketing and merchandising on the dining room walls.
The exterior received a fresh coat of paint to improve the overall customer experience. Grandy’s is a 37-year-old chain, and a number of its stores are at least 25-30 years old.
Grandy’s also updated its pole sign with new trim colors around the sign exterior as well as a new pole color.
Other improvements to the Grandy’s exterior include a new lighting package to serve as a beacon for customers to the store while adding a level of security.
The Grandy’s Fort Worth store also updated its drive-thru trail with new — and additional —lighting to focus on merchandising in the trail as well as provide an extra level of security for customers.
Grandy’ menu strategy for 2009 includes rolling out a rotation of limited-time offerings to pique customer interest as well as some new permanent menu offerings.
