The chain nearly met its goal of all stores having updated exterior elements, including the new logo and consistent paint scheme, by the end of the fiscal year, which ended Sept. 27, 2009.
Part of the exterior reimaging program calls for all Jack in the Box stores to have fresh landscaping.
Interior reimaging, which is scheduled to be complete by 2013, features a more upscale look. Details such as tile flooring, earth tones and pendant lighting help make the look more contemporary.
The reimaged interior also includes a focus on the chain’s mascot, Jack.
The decor also incorporates point-of-purchase marketing materials, including these panels for Jack in the Box smoothies and croissants.
The Jack in the Box menu includes a variety of offerings served all day, including breakfast items, 100 percent sirloin burgers, entree salads and real ice cream shakes.
Self-service kiosks boost incremental sales, mainly in the lunch daypart. About 180 company- and franchise-owned restaurants have the kiosks installed, with 20 more planned by the end of the year.
San Diego County Jack in the Box stores participated in a test of Coca-Cola’s new self-service Freestyle dispenser.
