Pretzel Time, a franchise brand owned by NexCen Brands Inc., began phasing out its own brand in April 2009. As the brand merges into Pretzelmaker, its tag "Freshness with a twist" will be combined with the Pretzelmaker logo.

The consolidation of Pretzel Time into Pretzelmaker will create the second largest soft pretzel brand in the United States with more 365 locations across 47 states and four other countries.
The transition includes the addition of new signage and interior design. Seven Pretzel Time locations have tested the new design and Pretzelmaker branding, and responses from mall developers and franchisees have been positive.
