All hail the diehards: Limited-service chains open Christmas

News reporters, convenience and retail store employees, first responders and medical personnel are among that committed group of people who rarely get holidays off. They are also the core customers for the following chains that remain open and ready to feed on even the highest holidays, including Christmas. 

As one who has often found herself in that first group mentioned at the top of this story, here's a great big holiday hug to the brands who remain open for those of us too lazy to actually make our holiday meals ahead of time and take them to the office with us. Yes, we still get hungry for a little something, even on Christmas, and you — bless your souls — remain there behind the counter to feed us. Below are the fast food brands that the website said will be open those days:  

On Christmas Day: 

• Denny’s: Open 24 hours.
• IHOP: 99 percent of locations are franchised and determine their own hours.
• Starbucks: Most locations open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
