3rd-generation Del Taco franchisee opens brand's newest California store

Del Taco said a third-generation multi-unit operator with the brand has opened its newest California-based store on Plum Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. Travis Taylor's grandfather was one of Del Taco's first franchisees in the 1970s, followed byTaylor's father and now Travis Taylor himself in his hometown of Santa Clarita continues what is now the family legacy with the new store, a news release said.

"Being a Del Taco owner is in my blood," Taylor said in the release. "At an early age, I knew I would be following in my father and grandfather's footsteps.
"Not everyone has the opportunity to truly grow up alongside a brand, but I have experienced firsthand the continuous improvements and evolutions Del Taco has made. This commitment to innovation is why my family has found success since day one, and why I'm confident we'll be a part of the Del Taco legacy for decades to come."

Taylor is credited with being a hands-on owner, who climbed to his current status from his starting position years ago as a cashier. Del Taco said it's seeking multi-unit operators in Central and Northern California and Pacific Northwest who seek to claim a territory and grow it.

Del Taco Restaurants Inc. is based in Lake Forest, California and has more than 580 stores systemwide.
