Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits recently opened its 600th location, and the milestone restaurant is the first in the chain to deploy digital menu boards from technology provider WAND Corp., according to an announcement from WAND.
"As Bojangles' continues to grow, it is important that we explore the technologies that can help us improve our customer's experience and afford us the ability to be agile in our marketing efforts both on a local level and across our now 600-store system," Bojangles' Vice President of Information Technology Shad Collins said in the announcement. "WAND is a natural partner for us because of their focus on reliability and high-quality performance that is consistent with our standards and helps move us toward our strategic goals at Bojangles'."
To provide similar benefits to new restaurants, Bojangles' has signed an exclusive master service agreement with WAND. Future corporate restaurants are already set to begin implementing WAND Digital's menu boards, accordeing to the announcement. The master service agreement also extends beyond corporate restaurants by encouraging franchisees to take advantage of a WAND Digital solution, the company said.
"Technology is essential for driving growth today in restaurants," WAND President Dave Perrill said in the announcement. "We're honored to work with a high-growth brand like Bojangles'. Their team is doing some really innovative work with their digital menus, such as interfacing pricing with their new POS system and analyzing daypart and up-sell opportunities."
