Andromeda intros OrderAnywhere application

January 22, 2008

LONDON — Andromeda, provider of delivery electronic point-of-sale systems, has announced the launch of its OrderAnywhere application, developed in partnership with Opiah.

OrderAnywhere enables consumers to have a branded applet on their cell phone, which contains the full menu for that concept. Menu prices and offers reflect the current menu at the customers nearest location and are updated automatically by the restaurant's EPOS system.

When a consumer orders using OrderAnywhere, the order is transmitted directly to the store's EPOS system. The customer then receives a text-message confirmation that his order has been received, and another as his order leaves the store.

The OrderAnywhere application is fully branded with the restaurant's logo and menu, and can be deployed by text message. Orders can be placed using payment by cash on delivery and/or credit card.

Andromeda is headquartered in London and has offices in Dallas.
