Apparent hoax forces decontamination of KFC employees
February 26, 2009
Union Leader (Manchester, N.H.): Three employees of a KFC store were taken to a hospital for decontamination after an apparent hoax resulted in the release of a fire suppressant chemical.
The store manager received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the corporate office, telling her to test the fire suppression system. That resulted in the release of a chemical powder in the sandwich area where the employees were working.
