Arby's comps up 5% for Q3

NEW YORK — Triarc Companies, the franchisor of Arby's, reported a solid third quarter ended Oct. 1, 2006.
Systemwide same-store sales were up 5 percent. Franchise comps increased 6 percent.
According to a news release, Arby's expects comps will be positive for the remainder of the 2006 fiscal year due to the anticipated performance of the various continuous marketing efforts and new product initiatives.
Revenue for the quarter was $312 million up from $240 million last year.
Arby's opened 42 new units in the quarter.
