More than 700 employees at Arby's restaurants in Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma have been awarded back wages.
The Associated Press reported that the U.S. Labor Department announced earlier this week that Tulsa, Okla.-based United States Beef Corp. will pay back wages to 759 current and former employees totaling about $57,000.
The agency said bonuses paid to managers at more than 250 restaurants failed to include earned overtime wages. By law, time-and-a-half pay is to be included for hours worked beyond 40 hours a week.
United States Beef cooperated in the investigation. The payments average about $75 per worker.
