Arby's has introduced the French Dip Royale, a new limited-time menu item available nationwide through May 25, according to a press release.
The sandwich features roast beef roasted in-house for at least three hours, topped with melted provolone, caramelized onions, garlic aioli and steak seasoning on a toasted artisan sub roll. The item is served with a side of au jus for dipping.
"With the French Dip Royale, we've reimagined a classic. We're tapping into French Dip flavors trending on menus. It's even more savory and indulgent — with thinly sliced roast beef topped with melted provolone, caramelized onions, steak seasoning and garlic aioli, served with au jus that brings together every bite," Jeff Baker, chief marketing officer at Arby's, said in the press release.
To promote the release, the company launched a digital campaign titled "French Dip Royale Precision" featuring chef and television personality Kristen Kish.
"Arby's was a part of my childhood. I grew up eating it, so there's a real nostalgia there for me," Kish said in the press release. "And I've always loved a good French dip, so when it came to theirs, with their signature thinly sliced roast beef at the center of it all, it was a no-brainer."
The French Dip Royale is priced starting at $7.49 at participating locations. It is available for order in-restaurant, through the drive-thru and via the Arby's website or mobile app.
The offering is a deluxe version of the chain's classic French Dip & Swiss, adding provolone, onions, aioli and steak seasoning to the original recipe.
