Arby's puts 3 sandwich 'legends' on menu

March 7, 2018

Arby's is ushering in a new line of "sandwich legends" that includes the brand's take on the Miami Cuban, Texas brisket and New York Reuben, highlighting the flavors of some of America's traditional favorite sandwiches.

The Cuban combines pork loin, pit-smoked ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickles and mustard on a sub roll, while the brisket features Texas barbecued beef brisket, onion strings and dill pickles on Texas toast. And finally, the Reuben boasts corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing on rye. Arby's is offering a heftier double Reuben, as well.

"What makes these sandwiches legendary and beloved across the country is how they are part of the culture and pride in the cities and regions where they were created," Arby's Chief Marketing Officer Jim Taylor said in the release. "Our goal in bringing Sandwich Legends to the menu is to give guests a convenient destination to enjoy some of the most famous sandwiches in America, prepared in a way that pays homage to the classics."

Arby's said it is now the world's second-largest sandwich chain with more than 3,400 restaurants in seven countries.
