An employee at a Chandler, Ariz., McDonald's is so well known for her customer service that one of the store's 15-year-old customers has created a Facebook group in her honor, according to a story in The Arizona Republic. The "I love Mary @ McDonalds Chandler" in honor of four-year drive-thru employee Mary Moss has drawn hundreds of members over the last month.
Store owners Mary and Michelle Adair say that Moss' fan base extends beyond that on the social networking site.
From The Arizona Republic:
"'We have gotten positive feedback verbally and through letters since Mary started with us,' Michelle said. 'We are committed to serving our customers, and Mary sets an example for all employees in this area.'...
Moss said working at McDonald's is more than just a job.
'I think a lot of people just expect quick service, and it surprises them when they get a certain amount of personal attention,' Moss said. 'Sometimes all it takes is a smile and a quick compliment to turn their day around.'"
