Arizona-based health-centric QSR opens 1st franchise site

January 19, 2017

Arizona-based healthy fast food concept, D’Lite Healthy On The Go (formerly D’Lish Drive Thru), has opened its first franchise location on Shea Road in Scottsdale, according to a news release. The store is the emerging brand's third restaurant overall.

To celebrate the first franchise, the chain will offer half off diners' selections all day Saturday, Jan. 21. The chain's first franchisees, Paco Patel and Ajay Amin, also operate two  Genghis Grill locations but wanted to delve into a healthful fast food alternative, according to a news release.

"Once we tried the 'Breakfast Buzz' and some other menu items we instantly knew we wanted to be involved with the concept — not with just one location but several across the entire valley," Amin said in a news release.

D’Lite Healthy On The Go founders and owners, Chad and Brooke Knudson, are committed environmentalists and strongly believe in the benefits of healthful foods, like those which are front and center at their restaurants. Aside from two Scottsdale locations, the brand also has a company-owned site on Apache Road in Tempe, according to a news release.

The restaurants feature hand-crafted coffees, teas, smoothies and shakes, as well as made-to-order breakfast wraps and sandwiches, salads, soups, bowls and burgers. Guests can dine in, take out or drive through, and catering is also available at the breakfast- and lunch-focused brand.
