Jack in the Box restaurants in Arizona announced the company raised $101,743 in March for Make-A-Wish Arizona by selling $1 Wish Stars at more than 160 restaurants, primarily in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. The company exceeded its fundraising goal, raising enough for Make-A-Wish Arizona to grant wishes for 13 kids with life-threatening medical conditions.
Wishes cost approximately $7,500 each and have already been granted for six kids, which was Jack in the Box's initial goal, the company said. Vanna, a three-year old fighting cancer, visited Walt Disney World as her wish, and 10-year-old Ella, struggling with a life-threatening heart condition, was granted her dream of being a Phoenix Suns dancer.
"We were so inspired by our guests' enthusiasm to donate to such an awesome cause," said Jack in the Box Regional Marketing Manager Jaime Ogus in a statement. "It just goes to show how even a $1 donation can bring hope to those who need it."
