Atlanta-based Burger King franchise wins corporate growth award

GPS Hospitality, an Atlanta-based Burger King franchisee, has been recognized by the Atlanta chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth as one of the top three honorees of 2015 Georgia Fast 40 in the Upper-Middle Market category.

GPS Hospitality, an Atlanta-based Burger King franchisee won recognition from the Atlanta chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth as one of the top three honorees of 2015 Georgia Fast 40 in the Upper-Middle Market category, GPS said in an announcement.

GPS Hospitality acquired 136 Burger King Franchise locations within three years by focusing on its franchise management strategy that stresses goals and talent within the industry, the company said. GPS Hospitality aims to continue expansion under the leadership of industry veteran and former CEO of Arby's Restaurant Group, Tom Garrett.

"The team's hard work and shared vision to make our restaurants our guests' favorite fast food destinations has positioned GPS Hospitality for further expansion and success," Tom Garrett, CEO and founder, said in a statement. "Being ranked among Georgia's fastest-growing companies is truly an honor. I'm thrilled to share this award with the entire GPS Hospitality team and our trusted partners at Nonami Investments and The Cynosure Group."

ACG Atlanta honors Georgia-based middle market companies that demonstrate the greatest growth in revenue and employees over the prior three years. Eligible companies must be for profit, have the most recent year-end revenues in a range between $15 million to $500 million, and have demonstrated three years of sustained revenue and employment growth, according to the press release.

"We are very impressed with the caliber of companies that are being honored this year," stated Dan Bauer, ACG Atlanta Chapter president, in the announcement. "These companies exemplify ACG's focus on Middle-Market growth and demonstrate the strength and significance of this sector in Georgia."
