Auntie Anne's plans 65 new nontraditional units in 2014

November 25, 2013

With more than 1,000 domestic stores and locations in venues such as shopping malls, outlet centers, airports and amusement parks, Auntie Anne's is continuing its partnership with highway and airport foodservice company HMSHost.

Through the partnership, Auntie Anne's has recently opened new units at the King of Prussia Service Plaza and the South Midway Service Plaza, both in Pennsylvania. By the end of the year, HMSHost will open another Auntie Anne's in Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

The brand first partnered with HMSHost in 2010 to open supplementary units in travel/rest plazas and airports. Since the initial agreement, HMSHost has opened a total of 26 Auntie Anne's locations and has strategic growth plans in the pipeline for 2014.

Auntie Anne's expects to open 65 nontraditional units in 2014 after opening more than 50 in 2013.

"Since day one, our partners at HMSHost have brought a wealth and expertise to our nontraditional growth ambitions," said Brian Boycan, vice president of Non-Traditional Development for Auntie Anne's. "Attracting a group of their business acumen and esteemed reputation is a true testament to our brand. We look forward to further growth and development in 2014."
