Auntie Anne's uses social media to celebrate National Lemonade Day

Auntie Anne's is celebrating National Lemonade Day today with a social media game that rewards timely participants with a free Lemonade Mixer.
Auntie Anne's is helping consumers discover the Lemonade Mixer flavor that best fits their personality and share it on its FacebookandTwitter pages. The first 20 Auntie Anne'sfansandfollowerseach hour between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern time who respond to the post, "What's your Lemonade Mixer personality?" will receive a coupon for a free Lemonade Mixer – a line of five fruity lemonade flavors introduced on June 1.
Lemonade Mixer personalities can be discovered by taking a brief 15 questiononline quizhosted on the restaurant's Web site. The quiz contains fun, real-world questions and a scoring system to determine the flavor that best matches core personality traits. At the conclusion of the quiz, a colorful narrative unveils whether the quiz taker is a Ballistic Blue Raspberry, Cherr-agious Cherry, Wacked Out Watermelon, Stupendous Strawberry, or Ku-ra-zy Kiwi Banana.
Since May, Auntie Anne's has been surveying the nation on personality styles through the online Lemonade Mixer Personality Quiz. To date, the quiz has revealed that 56 percent of Americans are a Stupendous Strawberry personality type, with core traits such as sweet, innocent, thoughtful, loyal, and studious. This quiz result correlates with Auntie Anne's top-selling Lemonade Mixer flavor, Strawberry.
Auntie Anne's golf tournament fundraiser
In unrelated news, Auntie Anne's has announced that the company's C.A.R.E.S. Committee recently held its 14th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament to raise funds for three non-profit organizations.
In total, $14,750 was raised for the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia, and $14,750 was raised for Clare House of Lancaster, Pa. The third recipient was Children's Miracle Network, Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, with which Auntie Anne's Inc. has had a 10-year partnership, receiving $29,500 from the tournament.
The tournament, sponsored by Auntie Anne's and Coca-Cola, was held in Hershey, Pa., and was followed by a dinner and skill prize giveaway for all 272 golfers, as well as volunteers. Totaling nearly $60,000, 100 percent of the proceeds from registration fees and additional contributions were considered charitable donations to the three organizations.
The C.A.R.E.S. (Community Action Requires Employee Support) Committee was founded in 1995 by the employees of Auntie Anne's Inc. The mission of this independent, nonprofit organization is to provide focused community support through time and financial resources.
