Botrista Technology, a startup based in Silicon Valley that provides an automated cloud-connected drink dispenser called DrinkBot, raised $4 million in seed funding from industry angels, venture capitalists and strategic investors last month.

Botrista has raised $4.55 million, according to an email sent to this website from Emily Hirsch, the company's head of customer success.

The company supports operations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and New York City, and customers include Goldilocks at the San Francisco International Airport, multiple Bonchon locations and multiple Halal Guys. About 10 more are in the works with Ike's Sandwiches being home to at least one.

The one-touch solution promotes process efficiency and a sanitary environment. Drink orders are customized and optimized for fast throughput, enabling drink production in less than 15 seconds

The system tracks inventory levels and automatically generates replenishment orders. A cloud portal allows partners to view real-time sales data and remotely monitor machine status and perform menu updates.

Drinks include fruit teas, fusion lemonade blends, mocktails and plant-based milk teas.

The drinks are dairy-free, soy-free and contain no added sugar.
