Avocado debuts on the Whataburger menu

For the first time ever, fresh avocado will be available to add to any Whataburger menu item. To celebrate, Whataburger is also serving a new, limited-time Avocado Bacon Burger, which features a 100-percent beef patty topped with avocado, creamy pepper sauce, tomatoes, onions, bacon and American cheese, all served on Texas Toast.

The addition of avocado comes from customer requests for the topping.

"Our customers' feedback is really important, and they have asked us for avocado. With a fresh ingredient like avocado and our dedication to quality, it's taken some time to make sure we get this right," said Rich Scheffler, Whataburger vice president of Marketing and Innovation. "It's a very natural complement to our menu, and we especially love the ingredients we've put together for the Avocado Bacon Burger."
