A&W Restaurants doubles funds raised for Wounded Warrior Project

A&W Restaurants announced it has collected $200,000 in donations for Wounded Warrior Project during its National Root Beer Float Day celebration.  For the past two years, A&W has celebrated National Root Beer Float Day on Aug. 6 by giving away free Root Beer Floats and collecting donations for WWP.

According to a news release, A&W's goal was to surpass the $100,000 in donations raised for Wounded Warrior Project in 2013. 

"We want to thank our guests and franchise partners for the overwhelming support of National Root Beer Float Day and Wounded Warrior Project.  We are proud to present $200,000 to Wounded Warrior Project and are already looking forward to National Root Beer Float Day 2015,” CEO Kevin Bazner said in the release.
