A new coffee concept is heating things up in the QSR space: Baristas Coffee Company owns and operates drive-thru espresso locations throughout the Pacific Northwest in highly visible locations. The concept utilizes attractive female baristas who wear costumes while serving its customers with a smile, according to company statements.
Baristas provides its customers the ability to drive up and order their choice of a custom-blended espresso drink, freshly brewed coffee, or other beverages like smoothies and blended drinks. Confectionary food items are also available.
The company's flagship location recently opened in Kent, Wash., September 13, just 17 days after securing the location. According to company statements, it has already achieved a daily revenue stream sufficient to sustain the location with positive cash flow within just weeks from its opening. The concept plans more units.
In an effort to increase revenue, the company has begun selling additional items such as “Muffin Tops,” energy bars, and selected other ancillary items like an online apparel store including hats, shirts, and other novelty items.
