Baskin-Robbins franchisee achieves record number of new store openings

Galadari Ice Cream Company, master franchisee for Baskin-Robbins in the Middle East, and part of Galadari Brothers group, joint venture partner for Baskin-Robbins in Australia, has been awarded the "Developer of the Year" Award 2014 from Dunkin' Brands for achieving the highest record number for new store openings in 2013.The franchisee opened 81 new stores last year.

According to a news release, Dunkin' Brands’ CEO Nigel Travis presented the award to Khaled Soliman, Galadari Brothers Group CEO, and Abdulmonem Suliman, GICC acting general manager, at a recent event in Dubai.

Dunkin’ Brands has partnered with Galadari Brothers Group for more than three decades.

"Dunkin' Brands is one of our close long-term partnerships in the group. We are proud to receive such a recognition of achievement. This is only the beginning of a new era in the group as we are looking at next coming years envisioning exponential growth not only in the Middle East but also in Australia. We plan to hit the 1000th store over the next few years," Soliman said in a news release.

GICC currently has more than 750 stores across the Middle East Region and Australia. It is also the sole franchisor for Dunkin' Donuts in Qatar.
