Baskin-Robbins has named Varuzh Tirityan of Burbank, Calif., as its 2013 Franchisee of the Year.
Tirityan received an award valued at $125,000 to be used toward the development of a new Baskin-Robbins standalone restaurant in his market. Tirityan currently owns and operates four Baskin-Robbins shops in the Burbank area. His new shop will be located in the San Fernando Valley.
"Varuzh is known by his peers as the 'man who never sleeps,' constantly working to deliver on our brand promise of 'more flavors and more fun' to his guests. We couldn't think of a more deserving franchisee for this honor," Dunkin’ Brands CEO Nigel Travis said in a news release.
Tirityan became a Baskin-Robbins franchisee more than 17 years ago following a career with Baskin-Robbins Corporate. His fifth location, and first to be built from the ground-up, will open in 2015.
