Cookie, cake or ice cream? Baskin-Robbins has launched a product that doesn't make customers choose. Its new Cookie Cakes is essentially a cake made from a chocolate chip cookie or brownie crusts layered with ice cream, whipped topping or other sweet options, like icing, sprinkles, fudge drizzle and Oreo cookies. Each can be personalized with the customer's choice of ice cream flavor, according to a company press release.
The brand is also introducing a vegan-friendly, dairy-free ice this month based on the Latin American drink, Horchata. Like the beverage, Horchata Ice uses rice and spices as a base, along with coconut cream and cinnamon.
The brand's April flavor is Boston Cream Pie ice cream, which it first launched more than 40 years ago. It combines Boston cream filling-flavored mousse ice cream, chocolate ice cream and pound cake pieces in a chocolate swirl wrapping.
Finally, Baskin-Robbins has brought back its Double Scoop Waffle Cone Upgrade Program, which gives guests the option to upgrade to a fresh-baked waffle cone when they order a double- or triple-scoop of ice cream.
