Baskin-Robbins launches cafe concept
September 2, 2008
The Boston Globe: Baskin-Robbins has opened its first Cafe 31 in Foxborough, Mass. The store features a pastry chef, a chocolate fountain and a 6-foot-long build-your-own sundae bar with a whipped-cream machine.
Based loosely on the company's Baskin Cafes in Korea, the new concept is twice the size of an average ice cream shop, and is filled with long purple couches, cushy pink seats, and stools. Offerings, in addition to ice cream, include chocolate fondue, cheesecake on a stick, caramel ginger apple crisp and ice cream cake by the slice.
