May 31, 2009

CANTON, Mass. — Baskin-Robbins and DoSomething.org, a non-profit organization that encourages teen volunteerism, have announced the launch of the I Serve, You Serve campaign, a plan to motivate teens to get involved in their communities.

As part of this empowerment campaign, Baskin-Robbins is challenging teens to make a difference this summer by signing up to volunteer atDoSomething.org/Serve. Teens who join DoSomething.org and those who are current active volunteers will receive an e-mail coupon to redeem at participating U.S. Baskin-Robbins stores July 13-17 to receive a free vanilla soft serve cone in celebration of National Ice Cream Month.

Each teen signing up to volunteer at DoSomething.org/Serve will receive the e-mail coupon July 13. To build interest about the campaign, Baskin-Robbins also will offer deals and gift checks to DoSomething.org members. Coupons and special offers will be posted on DoSomething.org/Serve throughout the summer.

The offer is valid for teens and young adults ages 13 to 25.

Baskin-Robbins announced last month the nationwide launch of soft serve, with new menu offerings, including Magic Sprinkles, 31 Below, 31 Below Pies and Fruit Creams.
