Baskin-Robbins today announced it is celebrating Mardi Gras by bringing the classic flavors of New Orleans' signature dessert with its new March Flavor of the Month, bananas foster.
According to a news release, the offering features bananas foster-flavored ice cream with a brown sugar rum-flavored ribbon and praline pecans.
In participating Baskin-Robbins shops nationwide, bananas foster ice cream is available in a milkshake, by the scoop — in a cup or cone — and in pints and quarts.
The flavor is also featured in the Big Easy Banana Split, a banana boat with a banana sliced lengthwise, scoops of bananas foster, chocolate and Pralines 'n Cream ice creams, topped with caramel praline topping, marshmallow topping and finished with real whipped light cream, cherries and chopped almonds. Baskin-Robbins is also offering a caramel banana parfait and caramel banana 31 Below.

"Bananas foster is our tribute to Mardi Gras and ice cream lovers nationwide who want to enjoy a festive and flavorful treat. We're also excited to include the flavor in our delicious Big Easy Banana Split, which also features our classic chocolate and pralines 'n cream flavors."
Additionally this month, Baskin-Robbins is offering strawberry banana, tropical banana and mango banana smoothies, as well as a St. Patrick's Day Cake.
