Baskin-Robbins is reportedly planning to set up camp in the volatile region of Crimea this year. According to Itar-Tess, Angessa Osipova, Baskin-Robbins’ head of Russia, said the company is looking for franchisees to open in the area, and is planning distribution channels there as well.
Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in March, creating tumult with the West. Baskin-Robbins first opened in Russia in 1988 and currently has 320 locations there.
