Baskin-Robbins testing two new store concepts

The Patriot Ledger: Baskin-Robbins is trying out two new store concepts designed to appeal to value-conscious customers and more of an upscale demographic. The new concepts include the BR Express, a kiosk-style soft-serve ice cream bar, and Cafe BR, an upscale dessert and coffee bar, which features a make-your-own sundae bar.
The Cafe BR concept origininated in Seoul, Korea, in 2005. Cafe BR, located at Patriot Place in Foxboro, Mass., also is a test site for menu novelties such as ice cream bombes and chocolate-covered cheesecake on a stick.
