Baskin-Robbins welcomes 2011 with chocolate

Baskin-Robbins has introduced its first new flavor of 2011 – Chocolate Escape.

The January flavor of the month is made with chocolate ganache cake and chocolate chunks mixed within Baskin-Robbin’s extra-rich, creamy chocolate and Swiss chocolate ice creams.

Chocolate Escape will be sold throughout January nationwide. It is available by cup, cone or as part of a classic sundae. It also is being sold by the pint, quart and half-gallon.

"When crafting the first new flavor of 2011, Baskin-Robbins strove to find a unique way to marry many different layers of the ultimate comfort flavor, chocolate, and offer dessert enthusiasts a sumptuous treat that beats the post-holiday blues,” said Brian O’Mara, Baskin-Robbins’ vice president of marketing.

O’Mara adds that consumers can expect 2011 to offer the chain's most innovative items yet for the Baskin-Robbins’ Flavor of the Month program.
