BDO USA's acquisition expands restaurant industry footprint

BDO USA LLP, a professional service organization, has announced an expansion of its Midwest presence as well as its restaurant industry footprint through the addition of SS&G Inc. and its subsidiary SS&G Parkland.

The move adds more than 375 employees, including 36 partners to BDO USA, according to a news release. SS&G is an accounting and consulting firm with a strong presence in the restaurant industry.

"This transaction provides a major strategic addition to BDO, as it extends our geographic coverage of the Midwest.  With SS&G, we aren't just entering a new market, we are gaining a leading accounting practice in Ohio with a great reputation throughout the region, as well as a nationally prominent restaurant practice," BDO USA CEO Wayne Berson said in the release.
